Barone played Gail Cunningham, a chef in the Seinfeld show The Shoes from the fourth season. She coveted Elaine Benes' shoes. Barone was part of the team from Carol & Company in early 1990s alongside actress Carol Burnett. Barone additionally played the role of Carol Willick Ross Geller's ex wife in her first appearance on Friends.
